For a more geometrical look, opt for the crisp lines of our princess, asscher or emerald shapes.

We suggest you choose a shape that will complement your chosen jewellery setting, and generally match your style of dress.

Colour grading measures the level of yellowish tint contained in a diamond. The most sought-after stones present very little colour, and appear transparent and bright. The colour scale runs from D to Z, with D being the highest - or whitest - grading.

As you move down the scale towards Z, your selected diamonds will start showing a yellow or brown tint. If you are looking to purchase a top quality diamond, it is always best to choose a grade no lower than H. Keep in mind, the differences between a D to G coloured diamonds are barely visible, but a G coloured can be between 20% to 40% less expensive. If you have selected a yellow or rose gold setting, you can be more flexible and opt for a lower colour grade, such as J. Yellow and rose colours help disguise your stone's tint.

This grade measures the amount of imperfections contained in a diamond. We recommend you purchase an ‘eye clean’ diamond, meaning a grade VS2 and higher. Your selected diamond's imperfections will not visible to the naked eye and would require a magnifying glass to be seen.

Often confused with shape, a diamond's cut grade indicates how well it sparkles. A superior diamond cut evenly places facets to reflect a maximum amount of light, creating the mesmerising finish so unique to diamond jewellery.

Fair: Although this cut isn't the most apt at reflecting light, it will still offer a good deal of sparkle while also being relatively bright.

Good: A well-cut diamond that will reflect enough light for a beautiful and sparkling display. Some darker spots in the diamond may be visible, but do not detract from the stone's brightness.

Very Good: This type of cut has near superior quality and practically holds the same amount of sparkle as an excellent cut, while coming in a significantly lower price.

Excellent: An excellent cut shows wildly superior light performance, which is mainly influenced by its good length to width ratio, as well as its depth. This cut ensures an eye-catching and sparkling display while also being extremely bright.

Carat weight is one of the fundamental factors in determining the price of a diamond. Opting for a 0.90ct diamond can offer 10-20% better value than a 1ct diamond of the same quality and looks almost the same in size.

You do not need to select the highest quality to get something that is equally as beautiful. Colour G still looks white to the eye and can offer 20-40% better value than D. In most cases, there are no visible imperfections in VS2 diamonds and are priced lower than VVS2 upward. To the naked eye, there is little difference between very good and excellent cuts. Fancy shape diamonds also offer better value compared to round brilliants.
